• M.F.A. in Creative Writing, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, 2002.
• B.A. with honors in English, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK., 2000.

Areas of Interest
Short stories, novels, prose poems, adaptations, and scripts...lyrical and symbolic writing in all its forms as well as the politics of narrative – including traditional and experimental works, and the blurred boundary between literary fiction and nonfiction. Parkison has writing forthcoming from Feminist Studies, The Literary Review, and Hayden’s Ferry Review.
