Areas of Interest

Critical applied linguistics, second language learning, discourse analaysis, sociocultural theories of language learning, English for Specific Purposes

My current research looks at the situated character of language competence; the construction of language ideologies in interactions involving minority language speakers; and qualitative research methodologies, particularly the co-constructed, mediated nature of interview data.
