Dr. Amante is currently the directing advisor
for undergraduate English and undesignated majors.
He also works closely with our English Education
students seeking teaching certification. He and
has been teaching at UNC Charlotte since 1974
and plans to retire later in 2005

Dr. Amante was the first recipient of the university’s
